With stunning turquoise see-through waters overlooked by massive cliffs and impressive medieval architecture, the Maltese Archipelago is our new and exciting sailing destination. Starting from Malta, the biggest and most commercial and cultural one of the three, we`ll change pace onto the tranquil rural heaven of Gozo before ending with the uninhabited small island of Comino.
These 3 islands have the mythical feel as well as the modern touch, but most of all, they have a breathtaking coastline waiting to be sailed and snorkeled.
Immerse yourself in the beauty of medieval architecture, see-through turquoise waters & stunning coastline views.
Day one starts from Kalkara Marina on the big island of Malta. Surrounded by historical buildings, make sure you don`t get lost while admiring the architectural beauty inside this maze of narrow streets. Large bays like Mellieha and Marsamxett are pit stops for bathing and scenic dinners overlooking the harbor, while the rest of the Eastern side of the island provides endless out of this world turquoise waters for you to swim in spots like Paradise Bay, Ghadira Bay, Saint Peters Pool.
Gozo the second largest island, will dazzle your sight with greenery, rural feel, high peaks topped with churches and chapels and drop-dead gorgeous waters flanked by rocky shores. This rugged landscape and breathtaking coastline, harbors some of the Mediterranean best diving sites, but also plenty of snorkeling opportunities, with rich underwater fauna. While sailing around Gozo, keep an eye out for the Dingli Cliffs, Azzure Window, the Blue Grotto, Dahlet Qorrot – they are on the to see list.
The island of Comino is pretty much uninhabited, with no cars in sight. The smallest of the three sister islands, this place offers plenty of snorkeling spots in azure waters as far as the eye can see. The biggest attraction here is obviously the famous Blue Lagoon, with shallow and calm turquoise waters perfect for a swim over to the tiny island of Cominotto (yes, it`s that close). The area offers great hikes if you feel like stretching your legs, but also other gorgeous swimming spots like Cominotto`s Cave, the Crystal Lagoon and Santa Marija Bay.
