Route description
Located in the southeast of Greece, between Cyclades and Turkey, there is a cluster of land patches called the Dodecanese Islands, which literally translates into “12 islands”. The sunniest corner in Greece, these islands harbor magnificent waters, sandy and pebbly beaches and a mix of Byzantine and Greek influences to tingle your senses. This sailing route starts from one of the largest and touristic islands, Kos, where you`ll find a more cosmopolitan vibe, but the smaller ones, that are still off the tourist radar and on our list Patmos, Karpathos, Lipsi and Leros offer an easier going and chilled atmosphere.
Adventure in a place flavored with Greek and Byzantine influences ready to tingle your senses.

Wild Route Itinerary
Dodecanese Islands – Greece
Kos
The Wild Route starts and ends in Kos, the second most popular island in the Dodecanese and the birthplace of Hippocrates, the most famous doctor in history. Boasting a more cosmopolitan vibe than the rest of our route, you can find here amazing beaches, historical landmarks, vibrant nightlife and fun activities for the entire family. Whatever you need, Kos pretty much has it.
Patmos
Known for its religious legacy, Patmos is the place where John the Evangelist wrote the Book of Revelation making it a popular pilgrimage location. One of its most emblematic landmarks, overlooking the harbor in Chora is the imposing Monastery of St. John, a UNESCO heritage site. The amazing beaches surrounding the sapphire coastline and the traditional white houses sprinkled all around are a delight to the eyesight making it perfect for nature lovers and tranquility seekers.
Leros
In Greek mythology, Leros was the island where the goddess Artemis would go deer hunting. The green fertile land of low hills & plains, surrounded by many small islets with deep, crystal clear bays and coves, pebble beaches and traditional taverns waiting to enchant you to your core. Italian influences can be seen all over but nevertheless, Leros is still a place where you can experience the intimate vibe of traditional Greek villages, unspoiled by mass tourism.
Kalymnos
A world-renowned island for its sponge harvesting tradition, Kalymnos is a rocky, rugged patch of land, with hills and mountains ideal for climbing. The coastline hides many coves and inlets, centuries-old shipwrecks sleeping on the sea-bed and sapphire waters for you to snorkel in. Intimate and laid back, Kalymnos is the poster child for the authentic Greek experience, with friendly faces and traditional taverns, but also the “IT” place for outdoor enthusiasts.
Lipsi & Levitha
Only 8 km long, the tiny island of Lipsi, is an unspoiled gem for nature fans. With only 800 residents, this is the place to slow down, admire the rugged hills, swim in crystal bays, relax on empty beaches and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Not far, is another sister island, Levitha. Seemingly abandoned, at first sight, this little patch of land is inhabited by a family of 8 people, who take care of the local tavern and raise animals. Surrounded by blue waters and tranquility, this is a perfect spot to enjoy the simple and quiet life.
